Women and Politics in India: Concepts and Debates

The Women and Politics in India course looks at how gender and politics relate in India. It focuses on important ideas like women’s rights, being involved in politics, and gender equality. Students will study both past and present discussions about women’s roles in politics, including how they are represented in government, their work in social movements, and the problems they face in gaining political power. The course also looks at policies and programs that try to make gender equality better in India’s politics.

This course is great for students who want to understand the issues of gender politics and how women influence India’s political and social scene.
