The European Classical Literature course teaches students about important texts from ancient Greek and Roman literature that have greatly affected Western literature. Students will read epic poems, plays, and philosophical writings from important authors like Homer, Virgil, Sophocles, and Ovid. The course looks at themes like heroism, fate, justice, and what it means to be human, along with the styles and cultures that influenced these lasting works.
